Returns and exchange details

At Appelblom Jewelry Company, we offer a 14 day money back guarantee so that you can make sure your purchase is just right. We honor exchanges up to 30 days of purchase, for items of equal or greater value.


Please note that returned items must be in their original, unworn condition and accompanied by all original documentation.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged:
Items that have been modified, engraved, or resized; items that have previously been exchanged; and custom designed jewelry.

*If you have a special request for a later delivery date, our 14 day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order is shipped.

Similarly, if you plan on picking up your ring from our San Mateo showroom, our 14 day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order is picked up.

We’re happy to offer a convenient Layaway Plan to help make your jewelry purchase simple and affordable.

How It Works

A 20% down payment is required to place an item on layaway.

The remaining balance can be paid over time with flexible payment options that fit your schedule.

Payments may be made in-store, online, or by phone, whenever it’s convenient for you.

Layaway Terms

The layaway period lasts up to 90 days (or specify your timeframe).

Items will be reserved exclusively for you during this time.

Once the balance is paid in full, your jewelry will be ready for pickup or shipment.

Changes & Cancellations

You may cancel at any time.

If a layaway is canceled, payments made—excluding the 20% deposit—may be refunded or transferred to store credit, depending on your store policy.

The 20% deposit is non-refundable, as it secures the item and removes it from sale.

Each of our custom pieces is handcrafted with care, precision, and attention to detail. Because of the high level of craftsmanship involved, our standard production time is 4–6 weeks before your order is ready to ship.

Complex designs or specialty stones may require additional time.

Once completed, your jewelry will be thoroughly inspected, polished, and packaged before it ships out.

If you need your piece sooner, we may be able to accommodate a rush order depending on current workload and material availability.

Rush Order Guidelines

Rush timelines vary and are approved on a case-by-case basis.

A rush fee may apply to prioritize your order in our production queue.

Not all designs can be rushed (e.g., custom stone cuts, intricate settings, or rare materials).
